Living organisms depend on the environmental conditions and shape their surroundings. The study of these interactions in aquatic environments using process-based models is the overarching theme in our research. Recurring themes include nutrient dynamics and microbial metabolism at the land-ocean interface and in marine sediments, the fate of methane in aquatic systems, and the response of aquatic systems to perturbations.
